Udhampur, J&K: Union Minister Jitendra Singh expressed confidence that the people of Kashmir will not align with leaders who advocate for the restoration of Article 370. Speaking in Udhampur, Singh emphasized that the current focus is on development, a path he believes is endorsed by the people of Kashmir.
"People of Kashmir will not support those who talk about bringing back Article 370," Singh stated, referring to the former provision that granted special autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration has set India on a trajectory of development and progress.
Singh's remarks come in the context of ongoing political debates surrounding Article 370 and its implications for the region. The Union Minister argued that the significant strides in development under Modi’s leadership have shifted public sentiment away from demands for the revival of the Article.
The statement underscores the government's stance on focusing on developmental initiatives rather than revisiting past political issues. Singh's comments reflect the broader narrative of promoting national integration and progress as key objectives for the current administration.
