Ranchi, June 11 — Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met with Dr. Philipp Ackermann, Ambassador of Germany to India, during the latter’s visit to Ranchi on Tuesday. The meeting marked a significant step in fostering closer ties between Jharkhand and Germany across various sectors.
Taking to social media, CM Soren expressed his satisfaction with the discussion, stating, “Pleased to welcome Dr. Philipp Ackermann, Ambassador of Germany to India, in Ranchi today. The meeting reportedly touched upon potential cooperation in areas such as sustainable development, renewable energy, vocational education, mining, and infrastructure. With Jharkhand's natural resource wealth and Germany’s global leadership in green technology and industrial innovation, both sides recognized the potential for strategic partnerships.
Ambassador Ackermann’s visit is seen as part of Germany’s broader effort to engage with Indian states individually to strengthen sub-national diplomacy and regional partnerships.
