Jhansi Medical College Fire: DM Provides Update on Infants' Health

By A Staff Reporter

Jhansi District Magistrate (DM) Avinash Kumar provided an update on the infants affected by the fire at Jhansi Medical College. Speaking about the infants rescued after the blaze, Kumar assured that they were stable and had not sustained any burn injuries. Following their rescue, the infants were promptly moved to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for further medical attention.

While the infants' condition is generally stable, Kumar confirmed the unfortunate death of one infant on the same day, clarifying that the cause of death was unrelated to the fire injuries. The infant's passing was attributed to a pre-existing illness.

The fire, which broke out at Jhansi Medical College, had caused significant alarm, but fortunately, the majority of the infants involved were unharmed by the flames. The district administration has assured continued care and monitoring for the remaining infants in the PICU.
