Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in the Lok Sabha, JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha endorsed the government's initiatives, particularly in digital transactions and welfare schemes, while taking a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the caste census issue.

"PM Modi rightly said that today, welfare money goes directly into people's accounts. India accounts for 50% of the world's digital transactions—this is a revolutionary programme. The central government has also introduced several other schemes, such as providing drinking water directly to households," Jha stated.

He also criticized Rahul Gandhi’s stance on the caste census, saying, "When it comes to the caste census, Rahul Gandhi called it fake… What does he know?"

The remarks reflect the ongoing political debate over economic reforms and social policies. The Modi government has consistently emphasized its success in financial inclusion through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme, which has eliminated middlemen and ensured subsidies reach beneficiaries. The government's Jal Jeevan Mission has also been a key initiative aimed at providing tap water to rural households.
