New Delhi: Amid the unfolding exit poll results and the ensuing political discourse, Janata Dal (United) leader Neeraj Kumar launched a scathing attack on both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress for their alleged failures and controversies.
Criticizing AAP’s governance in Delhi, Kumar highlighted the liquor scam controversy, which has dogged the party’s leadership in recent months. “They (AAP) created an uproar through the liquor scam,” Kumar stated, referring to the ongoing investigations and public outcry surrounding the Delhi Excise Policy case. He also targeted AAP’s environmental management, claiming, “Yamuna has been polluted so much...” This remark comes amid rising concerns over the pollution levels in the Yamuna River, a persistent issue in the capital despite multiple cleanup efforts.
Kumar didn’t spare the Congress either, questioning the party's commitment to Bihar's historical legacy. Taking a swipe at the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, he remarked, “It is difficult to say anything about Congress. When Lok Sabha LoP visits Bihar, he forgets the name of the freedom fighters and fails to visit their family members.” The critique underscores JD(U)’s ongoing rivalry with Congress, especially in the context of Bihar’s political landscape and the legacy of freedom fighters, which remains a sensitive and emotionally charged issue for many in the state.
