Delhi: Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Saturday expressed confidence that the people of Bihar have voted decisively for change in the ongoing Bihar Assembly Election 2025. Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Ramesh said the high voter turnout across the state reflects a growing sentiment for a political shift away from the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

“People have voted for change in Bihar. The high voter turnout in Bihar is a sign that the public has decided that they want change,” Ramesh stated. He asserted that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s era has come to an end, claiming that the NDA has lost touch with the aspirations of the people.

Ramesh predicted that the Mahagathbandhan—comprising the Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and other opposition allies—will form the next government in the state. “Nitish Kumar and the NDA’s time is over. The Mahagathbandhan will be forming the government in Bihar,” he said confidently.

The Congress leader added that the alliance’s focus on employment, social justice, and economic development had resonated with the people, setting the stage for what he described as “a new chapter in Bihar’s political landscape.”
