Delhi: Congress MP Jairam Ramesh launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence regarding US President Donald Trump’s repeated remarks about “Operation Sindoor.” Addressing the media in Delhi, Ramesh alleged that President Trump has made the same claim 58 times since May 10, asserting that he personally intervened to stop the operation between India and Pakistan.

“US President Donald Trump has claimed 58 times, since May 10th, that he stopped Operation Sindoor, that he threatened it. He said he told both the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan to stop it if they wanted to continue business with America,” Ramesh said. “Where does the first announcement come from? From Washington. We get information that Operation Sindoor has been stopped,” he added.

Criticizing the Prime Minister’s silence, Ramesh said, “He keeps repeating the same thing, while our Prime Minister remains silent. We get information about our government’s policies from the US President, but not from our Prime Minister. This is a strange situation.”

Referring to the upcoming G20 Summit in South Africa on the 22nd and 23rd, Ramesh remarked sarcastically, “President Trump has said he won’t go, which means our Prime Minister will definitely go. If Trump had decided to attend, our Prime Minister would have found an excuse for a virtual meeting.”
