Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday underscored the seriousness with which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking to reporters and through a social media post, Yadav said the government's actions reflect its deep concern for the safety and dignity of Indian citizens.
“Modi ji convened a high-level meeting immediately after landing from Saudi Arabia; he is taking this attack very seriously,” Yadav stated. The swift convening of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) upon the Prime Minister’s return has been widely viewed as a signal of the Centre’s urgency in addressing the crisis.
Yadav also referred to the central government’s landmark decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, a water-sharing agreement with Pakistan dating back to 1960. “The decision to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty is a clear signal of how deeply we care for our fellow Indians,” he said, framing it as a strong diplomatic and strategic response to continued acts of cross-border terrorism.
