New Delhi — IUML MP ET Mohammed Basheer, a member of one of the seven all-party delegations representing India abroad, emphasized the importance of showcasing India's firm and principled stand against terrorism on the global stage.

Speaking about the delegation’s mission, Basheer said, “The mission in which we are involved is to explain India's strategy regarding two key aspects — the Pahalgam incident and our broader fight against terrorism.”

He referred to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, where 26 civilians were brutally killed, calling it “reckless killing beyond all limits” and squarely blaming Pakistan. “Pakistan has always encouraged terrorism to create problems in India. But India made it clear this time — there would be a response, and there was,” he said.

Basheer underlined India’s conduct during the retaliatory Operation Sindoor, stating, “India upheld its principles during the war. While Pakistan targeted civilians, India was determined not to hurt them. That was our strategy.”

He added that the international outreach, involving MPs from different parties visiting over 25 countries, is a powerful message from the Indian Parliament. “We feel bound to expose Pakistan's wrongdoings and uphold India's great tradition. We are proud to take up this responsibility for the nation,” he said.

The global campaign, initiated after the military escalation, seeks to unify world opinion against state-sponsored terrorism and highlight India's role as a responsible democratic nation.
