New Delhi: During the inaugural session of Plumbex India 2025, Gurmit Singh Arora, the National President of the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA), addressed the media on the pressing issue of water conservation. Arora emphasized the need for the government to implement policies mandating the use of low water fixtures in both residential and commercial construction projects.

“We have requested the government to make mandatory usage of low fixtures in housing and commercial projects to minimise wastage of water,” Arora stated. This move, he believes, is crucial in reducing water consumption across the country, especially as urbanization continues to put increasing pressure on water resources.

The plea aligns with growing concerns over water scarcity, and the IPA has long advocated for sustainable practices in plumbing and construction. The call for low-water fixtures is seen as an essential step toward addressing the global water crisis while promoting environmental responsibility.
