Lomé, Togo: En route to Sierra Leone after completing their official visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Group 4 Indian parliamentary delegation made a transit stop in Lomé, Togo, where they engaged in a high-level discussion on pressing regional and global security concerns. Led by Shiv Sena MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, the delegation utilized the brief stopover for strategic dialogue in the airport lounge.

According to sources present during the informal session, the members held a focused discussion on Pakistan-based terrorism and India’s recent countermeasures, including the much-discussed Operation Sindoor, which has been credited with reinforcing national security and projecting India’s defensive strength.

The conversation, though held during a transit break, underscored the seriousness with which the delegation is approaching issues of international security and India’s strategic posture. Operation Sindoor, recently hailed by officials and citizens alike, was analyzed in the context of its effectiveness in neutralizing aerial threats, particularly drones deployed from across the border.
