By A Staff Reporter

Siachen Base Camp, Ladakh — In a tribute to the spirit of valor and endurance ahead of the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Indian Army on 25th June 2025 flagged off the ‘Forever in Operations Mountain Terrain Bicycle Expedition 2025’ from the world’s highest battlefield, the Siachen Base Camp.

Comprising 20 highly trained Army personnel, the expedition is a powerful demonstration of the Indian Army’s unwavering resilience and adventurous spirit. The cyclists will journey over 650 kilometers of some of the harshest terrains in the world before reaching the Kargil War Memorial in Dras on 10th July 2025.

The route, cutting through the rugged heart of Ladakh, presents an extreme test of human endurance — featuring high-altitude mountain passes, glaciated and broken roads, icy river crossings, and oxygen-deficient elevations. These challenging conditions are designed not only to showcase physical stamina but also to reinforce mental toughness, hallmarks of the Army's ethos.
