Tokyo, Japan: As part of India’s global diplomatic initiative under Operation Sindoor, an all-party parliamentary delegation led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha held a crucial meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya in Tokyo. The engagement marks a continued effort by New Delhi to consolidate international support in the fight against terrorism and share India’s stance following the Pahalgam terror attack.
The meeting centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation on counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing, and upholding democratic values amid global security threats. Japan and India, both strategic partners in the Indo-Pacific, reaffirmed their shared commitment to peace and regional stability.
According to sources familiar with the talks, Foreign Minister Iwaya expressed solidarity with India in the wake of recent terrorist incidents and praised India's proactive outreach to foster global consensus against terrorism. The Indian delegation highlighted the objectives of Operation Sindoor, underlining India’s resolve to bring perpetrators of terrorism to justice and build a global coalition against extremist threats.
