Panchkula, Haryana: Union Minister of State for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Singh, on Saturday said that India’s growing global stature in science and technology is the result of sustained policy support and vision under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at the India International Science Festival (IISF), the minister highlighted the country’s recent scientific breakthroughs and the confidence with which India now presents itself on the world stage.
Dr. Singh said India’s achievements—from space exploration to pandemic management—have demonstrated the country’s ability to innovate at scale. “The remarkable achievements we have made in science and technology owe much to Prime Minister Modi, who has been the guiding force,” he said. Referring to landmark missions, he added, “Be it Chandrayaan, the Covid vaccine, or Gaganyaan, which is launching soon, with all these achievements, the world looks up to India.”
The minister noted that the IISF has become an important platform showcasing India’s scientific talent, research capacity, and emerging innovations. He stressed that the government’s push for indigenous development, collaboration between research institutions and industry, and large-scale investment in frontier technologies has accelerated progress across sectors.
