Brussels: Secretary (West) Ambassador Sibi George represented India at the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Conference, engaging in a series of high-level discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation across maritime, economic and digital domains. The conference brought together leaders and ministers from across the Indo-Pacific and European regions to explore shared priorities and emerging challenges.
Ambassador George delivered a keynote address at the High-Level Event on Critical Maritime Infrastructure, which was co-chaired by EU High Representative and Vice President Ms Kaja Kallas. In his remarks, he underscored the importance of resilient maritime systems, uninterrupted supply chains and collaborative frameworks to ensure stability in the Indo-Pacific.
He also participated in the roundtable on Shared Prosperity, Economic Security and Digital Connectivity, co-chaired by European Commissioner for Startups, Research & Innovation Ms Ekaterina Zaharieva and Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. The discussions focused on enhancing digital partnerships, protecting supply chains, and fostering inclusive economic growth through innovation.
