Accra, Ghana – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana during his Africa outreach tour, spotlighted India’s democratic strength and rapid economic ascent. He noted that the people of India have chosen continuity and stability by re-electing his government for a third consecutive term—an electoral feat not seen in over six decades.

“The people of India have reposed their faith in peace, security and development,” said PM Modi during his address. “Last year, they re-elected the same government for the third consecutive time, something that happened after more than sixty years.”

Modi’s reference underscores his government's renewed mandate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, a vote seen widely as an endorsement of his administration’s developmental agenda and global leadership vision.

He also projected India’s economic trajectory with optimism, declaring, “India will soon be the third-largest economy in the world.” Currently the fifth-largest, India’s economy has seen sustained growth, driven by major infrastructure investments, digital transformation, and increased foreign investment.
