Hisar Woman Arrested for Alleged Espionage, Father Says He Was Unaware

Hisar, Haryana: In a startling development, Jyoti Malhotra, a resident of Hisar in Haryana, has been arrested for allegedly passing sensitive information to a Pakistani national and maintaining continuous contact with him. The arrest has sent shockwaves through the local community, with her family expressing disbelief over the charges.

According to sources, Jyoti was under surveillance for some time before the arrest was made. Authorities suspect that she had been deliberately gathering and transmitting confidential information, though details about the nature of the material shared remain under wraps due to national security concerns.

Jyoti’s father, Harish Malhotra, appeared visibly shaken and claimed he had no knowledge of his daughter's alleged activities. “She had told me she was going to Delhi,” he said. “I didn’t know anything. None of her friends ever came home. Yesterday, the police brought her here — she picked up her clothes and left without saying a word. I don’t know what to say.”

Harish further added that his daughter frequently made videos at home but never mentioned any travel to Pakistan. “I never said she visited Pakistan. She always said she was going to Delhi,” he reiterated. “I have no demands… whatever is going to happen, will happen.”
