Shimla, Himachal Pradesh: In a series of heartfelt tributes, Himachal Pradesh Minister Vikramaditya Singh paid homage to his late father and former Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh, on Monday. The minister addressed party workers and leaders during a memorial ceremony held at the Congress office in Shimla, calling Virbhadra Singh “an inspiration” and a guiding force in the state's development.

“Today we organised a ceremony to pay tribute to our former CM Virbhadra Singh in our party office,” Singh said, highlighting a string of events being held in remembrance of the towering Congress leader. On Sunday, the party had also conducted a boxing tournament in his honour. A puja is scheduled to be held in Rampur on Tuesday, with all party members invited to participate.

The minister further announced that a statue of Virbhadra Singh will be unveiled on July 15. The date had to be postponed due to the unavailability of senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, whose presence is being awaited for the event.
