New Delhi | A five-member High-Level Committee, chaired by retired Supreme Court Judge Ranjana Desai, convened at Gujarat Bhawan in New Delhi today to deliberate on drafting a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) for Gujarat. The meeting focused on key objectives, scope, and procedural aspects of the proposed legislation.

The committee engaged in substantive discussions regarding the comprehensive review of existing personal laws and the potential impact of the UCC on Gujarat’s legal framework.
