Ranchi — Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the welfare of workers, tribals, and displaced communities while addressing the central convention of the Jharkhand Colliery Workers’ Union held in Ranchi. Soren participated in the event virtually from Delhi, addressing a gathering of union members and labour representatives.
In his address, the Chief Minister said, “We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the rights and entitlements of the state’s tribals, indigenous people, workers, and displaced persons.” He praised the contribution of the working class in building the state’s economy and reaffirmed that their voices would remain central to the government’s policy-making.
Soren’s remarks come at a time when Jharkhand’s mining belt continues to witness demands for stronger labour protections, environmental justice, and rehabilitation of those displaced by industrial and mining activities.
The Chief Minister ended his address with a rousing call — “Hail Jharkhand!” — that was met with applause from the gathering.
