HD Kumaraswamy Addresses Lokayukta Investigation Allegations

In a recent statement, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy discussed his visit to the Lokayukta office in Bengaluru, prompted by a complaint filed by a person named Jai Kumar in 2015. Kumaraswamy expressed frustration over the lack of investigation into the case, which has remained unresolved for nearly a decade.

"This complaint was filed when Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister, and during that time, there were many illegal activities linked to his government," Kumaraswamy asserted. He alleged that attempts were made to tarnish his reputation by filing false complaints against him as he began to expose these activities.

During his visit to the Lokayukta, Kumaraswamy was informed about the ongoing investigation, which he described as having been neglected for 12 years. He stated, "Now you requested ADGP Chandrasekhar. He went to the Governor to seek permission to prosecute me. Chandrasekhar, what is his background? Tomorrow I will expose it," hinting at further revelations about the situation.

Kumaraswamy also took aim at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who has called for his resignation, asking, “Why is your government going slow in the investigation?” His remarks have stirred political tension as both sides grapple with allegations and counter-allegations amid an already heated political atmosphere in Karnataka.
