The alleged suicide of a senior Haryana IPS officer of ADGP rank has ignited national concern, particularly after his wife, a senior IAS officer, filed a complaint seeking an FIR based on his suicide note. The note reportedly names specific officers and alleges caste-based harassment.
Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda (@DeependerSHooda) described the incident as "an extremely serious matter before the entire country." He stated, "When a senior and promising IPS officer is forced to take the extreme step of suicide, and his wife files a complaint seeking an FIR based on his suicide note alleging caste-based harassment and naming accused officers, it raises suspicion over the entire system itself."
The development has triggered questions about the working environment and accountability within the Haryana Police, as well as the broader administrative machinery. Human rights activists and political leaders are calling for a transparent and impartial investigation to ensure justice and restore confidence in public institutions.
