Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday disbursed the second instalment of financial assistance under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, marking a major step in the state’s initiative to support economically disadvantaged women. Speaking in Chandigarh, Saini said that payments have been issued to 7,01,965 beneficiary accounts following eligibility verification.
The Chief Minister highlighted the steady progress of the scheme since the launch of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi mobile app on 25 September. On the 109th birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, the state had released the first instalment of ₹2,100 to beneficiaries. Since then, interest in the scheme has surged, with 9,00,592 women applying through the app.
“Out of these applicants, 7,01,965 were found eligible for the scheme, and Aadhaar KYC has been successfully completed for 5,58,346 women,” Saini said. He added that the state has ensured transparency and timely processing to extend benefits to all eligible applicants.
Under the scheme, women aged 23 and above with an annual household income of less than ₹1 lakh qualify for assistance. The initiative aims to provide financial stability and promote empowerment among women from low-income households.
