Kurukshetra: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday combined festive greetings with economic announcements, describing the central government’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms as a major relief for citizens.
“Heartfelt greetings and congratulations to everyone on the occasion of Sharadiya Navratri and Agrasen Jayanti. Today, Prime Minister Modi has given a very big gift to the people of the country through GST reforms, which has benefited people a lot,” Saini said while addressing a gathering.
He highlighted the launch of the “GST Savings Festival” in Haryana, aligning state-level initiatives with the nationwide rollout of reduced GST rates. “GST has been reduced on farmers' equipment, and GST has been set to zero on daily use items. This decision of Prime Minister Modi will benefit people a lot. GST has been reduced on medicines and insurance,” he added.
