Kalka, Haryana | Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticized the Congress party over its approach to farmers’ welfare and the 'One Nation, One Election' proposal. Speaking at a public event, Saini accused the opposition of being "anti-farmer" and hindering the nation’s progress.
“Our government ensured that Urea and DAP fertilizers were available to farmers at affordable prices. During the Congress tenure, the increased prices of these essential fertilizers were ignored because they are anti-farmer,” Saini remarked. He credited the current administration for keeping fertilizer prices under control under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the ongoing debate on 'One Nation, One Election,' Saini expressed strong support for the proposal. “This initiative will save the country’s money and time, allowing us to focus more on development. Congress, on the other hand, opposes this because they do not want the nation to progress,” he said.
The 'One Nation, One Election' idea, which aims to synchronize Lok Sabha and state assembly elections, has been a contentious issue, with the BJP strongly advocating its implementation and opposition parties raising concerns about its feasibility and impact on federalism.
His' statements reflect the BJP’s broader narrative, contrasting its governance with the Congress’s alleged neglect of key issues like agricultural support and policy reforms. The remarks are likely to fuel political debates as both parties gear up for upcoming elections.
