Chandigarh, March 10, 2025: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has dismissed the opposition's allegations regarding the Dadupur Nalvi canal, accusing them of raising baseless issues to divert public attention.

Speaking to the media, Saini said, "The opposition has been continuously raising the issue of the Dadupur Nalvi canal, and the government has repeatedly clarified its stance. When they don’t have real issues, they resort to such misleading claims."

He emphasized that the Punjab and Haryana High Court never ordered the reconstruction of the canal, refuting opposition claims that the government failed to comply with judicial directives.

The Dadupur Nalvi canal project, originally intended for irrigation, has been a contentious issue in Haryana politics, with opposition parties blaming the BJP-led government for its abandonment. However, Saini maintained that the state government is committed to fair and lawful decisions in the interest of farmers and the public.
