Gurugram: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced a renewed focus on revitalizing the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), acknowledging that the urban planning body had not received the attention it deserved since its inception. Speaking at an event in Gurugram, CM Saini also inaugurated a newly constructed “Model Road,” which he hailed as a blueprint for future urban development in the state.

“For some reason, the GMDA was not paid much attention after its formation. However, the Gurgaon Industrial Association officials and the government are working together to restore it,” said Saini, underlining the government’s commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure in one of the state’s most rapidly growing cities.

Highlighting the features of the new Model Road, the Chief Minister emphasized its safety and environmental benefits. “This Model road has been made in such a way that it ensures 0% accidents. This road has been made without tampering with the surrounding greenery,” he said, adding that the project exemplifies how development and sustainability can go hand-in-hand.
