Tarn Taran, Punjab | Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the state and central governments’ healthcare initiatives, emphasizing the success of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in providing critical financial protection to citizens.
Addressing a public rally in Tarn Taran, Saini said, “In the past 11 years in Haryana, we have made Ayushman cards for many people, on which we give a benefit of ₹5 lakh per year in case of illness.” He added that the joint efforts of the Haryana government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre have resulted in significant health support for citizens.
“The Haryana government and the PM Modi government have provided people over ₹3,000 crore for the treatment,” Saini stated, underscoring the scheme’s impact on improving access to healthcare for economically weaker sections.
