As Haryana gears up for its upcoming elections, BJP leader Bharat Bhushan Juyal commented on the potential impact of reported infighting within the state Congress. Speaking from Karnal, Juyal predicted that internal divisions within Congress, particularly surrounding leadership, would alienate voters and weaken the party’s chances.
"Ultimately, people believe that their community is huge, they have a bold leader and the Congress politics revolves around the leader," Juyal explained. He noted that changes within the Congress, including sidelining key figures, could backfire. "Poles have been set here and the goalpost has been changed before the match could even begin. Kumari Selja was declared out from that game, from that goalpost," he added, referring to shifts in Congress leadership.
Juyal suggested that this leadership reshuffle could lead to a backlash from certain communities, which may turn against Congress in the upcoming elections. "The community watches this and naturally it will vote against Congress due to this," he concluded, signaling the BJP’s optimism in capitalizing on Congress' internal discord.
