Haryana Approves ₹10,000 Monthly Medical Allowance for Former MLAs Above 60

Chandigarh: In a key policy update, the Haryana Cabinet has approved a monthly medical allowance of ₹10,000 for former Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) aged 60 and above. The decision was announced by Chief Minister Nayab Saini following the state cabinet meeting held on Thursday.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, CM Saini stated, “In today’s cabinet meeting, an amendment was passed for the former MLAs to provide them medical treatment. Under the Medical Facilities Amendment 1988, pensioners above 60 years will get ₹10,000 as a medical allowance per month.”
