Harsh Sanghavi Chairs High-Level Meeting Ahead of Gujarat Mock Drill

By A Staff Reporter

In the wake of nationwide security concerns, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi chaired a high-level meeting in Gujarat today to review and finalize the action plan for a large-scale emergency mock drill scheduled across the state tomorrow.

The meeting brought together top administrative and security officials, including Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue), Director General of Police Vikas Sahay, and DGP (Home Guards & Civil Defence) Shri Manoj Agarwal. The discussion focused on detailed coordination mechanisms, resource mobilization, inter-departmental response strategies, and public safety protocols to ensure a seamless and effective execution of the mock drill.

The state-level drill is part of a larger initiative launched by the Ministry of Home Affairs in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The drill aims to evaluate the preparedness of civil and security agencies to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations, including terrorist threats and natural disasters.

Minister Sanghavi emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration and urged all departments to approach the drill with seriousness and precision. “Preparedness saves lives. These drills are vital to strengthen our ability to respond quickly and effectively in times of crisis,” he said.
