Israel, Hamas to negotiate ceasefire deal

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A Hamas official said talks on a ceasefire with Israel had progressed but were not concluded.

"We cannot say that the current stage of negotiations is zero and at the same time we cannot say that we have reached an agreement," the official said. " 

The matter is still being looked into and no response has been given to any of the parties, the official said.
