BY A STAFF REPORTER: A senior Hamas official has said the terror group wants a "complete and comprehensive ceasefire" in Gaza, while mediator Qatar said earlier that a framework for a temporary ceasefire was being proposed.
"We are talking about a complete and comprehensive ceasefire first, not a temporary ceasefire," Taher al-Nunu said. '
Earlier, Qatar's prime minister said he believed Hamas had "withdrawn" from demanding a complete ceasefire as a condition of any deal, which Israel flatly rejected.
