Jitan Ram Manjhi

Patna: In the ongoing seat-sharing discussions within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) president and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has appealed to coalition partners for greater representation.
Speaking on Sunday, Manjhi highlighted his party’s struggle over the past decade, noting that despite being part of the NDA, HAM continues to function as an unrecognised political party. He urged allies to consider the issue during negotiations, saying, “For 10 years, the Hindustani Awam Morcha has carried the stigma of being an unrecognised party. We are partners in the NDA, so my request to them is to give us such number of seats in the Bihar Assembly so that we can secure recognition as a national party. I am begging for recognition.”
