Gujarat: The Water Conservation Public Participation Scheme, a collaborative initiative between the Jal Shakti Ministry and the Government of Gujarat, is set to begin in Surat on September 6. The scheme aims to promote community involvement in water conservation efforts across the state.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recently held a video conference with District Collectors to discuss the scheme's implementation. During the meeting, CM Patel emphasized the importance of public participation in preserving water resources and outlined the state government's plans for the program's rollout in Surat.
In addition to discussing the water conservation initiative, the Chief Minister also reviewed the current rainfall situation across Gujarat. He assessed the impact of recent rains on various districts and discussed measures to manage water resources effectively during the monsoon season.
The launch of this scheme reflects Gujarat's commitment to sustainable water management and highlights the collaborative efforts between the state and central governments to address water conservation challenges.
