Gujarat is set to witness a major digital infrastructure boost with a ₹1,317-crore cable landing station project soon becoming operational in Dhuvaran, Anand district. The initiative, expected to generate more than 1,300 jobs, marks a significant leap in the state’s efforts to strengthen high-speed data connectivity and support next-generation digital services.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project was formalised during the Regional AI Impact Conference held in Gandhinagar. The agreement was signed between the Gujarat government, GIFT City, and Henox IT and Data Centers, in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi.

Officials said the new landing station will play a pivotal role in enhancing Gujarat’s digital competitiveness by enabling faster, more reliable data flow. The facility is expected to support hyperscale and enterprise data centers, which are essential for handling massive data volumes generated by AI systems, cloud computing, and large-scale digital platforms.
