In a recent address in Gandhinagar, Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi announced the passage of a new bill in the Gujarat Assembly aimed at curbing corruption. The bill includes significant provisions that allow the state government and its investigation team to confiscate any property or assets valued up to Rs 1 crore that have been acquired through corrupt or illegal activities.

Sanghvi explained that a special court would be established to handle these cases, featuring judges and special officers dedicated to expediting the process of sealing properties linked to corruption. He emphasized that this new measure would be both important and effective in tackling corruption in the state in the coming days, highlighting the government's commitment to maintaining transparency and accountability.
