Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, has sanctioned more than ₹84.29 crore over the past four years to provide critical healthcare support to citizens facing life-threatening illnesses.

According to official data, the fund has extended assistance to 3,761 beneficiaries, covering a wide range of medical treatments including cochlear implants, organ transplants, and cancer therapies. The initiative aims to ensure timely intervention for patients who might otherwise struggle to access or afford advanced healthcare.

Officials said the scheme reflects the state government’s commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare, particularly for vulnerable sections of society. Along with financial support, the fund also offers emotional reassurance to families coping with severe health challenges.

CM Patel has emphasised that no citizen should be denied treatment due to financial constraints. He highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between medical facilities and those in urgent need of care, assuring that the state will continue to strengthen its healthcare safety nets.
