The 78th Foundation Day of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) was marked by a vibrant conclave in Gandhinagar, where Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel underscored the importance of quality and standards in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of "Zero Defect, Zero Effect." The event, organized in collaboration with the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), brought together industry leaders, officials, and stakeholders to reaffirm their commitment to quality-led development.

Speaking at the event, CM Patel highlighted Gujarat’s progress in public delivery systems and quality governance. "Under PM Modi's leadership, India's global reputation for quality has undergone a remarkable transformation, boosting the ease of doing business and encouraging innovation," he stated. He urged industries and institutions to align with the vision of sustainable, defect-free products that leave no adverse environmental impact.

To foster awareness of quality standards among younger generations, the Chief Minister launched a Gujarati comic book aimed at inspiring students. Additionally, quiz winners were awarded for their contributions to promoting quality awareness.
