Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Orders Immediate Survey After Unseasonal Rains Damage Crops Across State

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has voiced deep concern over the widespread damage to standing crops caused by unseasonal rains that lashed parts of the state — a weather event described as one of the most severe in more than two decades.

Chairing a high-level review meeting in Gandhinagar, the Chief Minister directed officials to launch immediate surveys and assessments across affected districts to evaluate agricultural losses. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi and Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani presented detailed reports on the situation through a video conference.

The Chief Minister instructed district administrations to work closely with local agricultural departments to identify the worst-hit areas and ensure that farmers receive timely assistance. “Our government stands firmly with the farming community. We will provide every possible support to help farmers recover from this unprecedented climatic challenge,” Patel assured.
