Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday inaugurated the State Government’s 12th Chintan Shivir at the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission in Dharampur, marking the start of a three-day policy brainstorming session focused on future-oriented governance. The conclave brings together cabinet ministers and senior bureaucrats to engage in structured dialogue, assess existing development strategies and chart new pathways for growth.
Officials said the Shivir will centre on five priority areas — capacity building in administration, public health and nutrition, green energy transition, public safety, and boosting the service sector. These areas have been identified as critical pillars to strengthen governance delivery and expand socio-economic opportunities across the state.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the exercise is designed to align Gujarat’s long-term planning with the national goal of achieving a Developed India by 2047. He noted that collaborative evaluation, cross-departmental learning and measurable outcomes will form the core of the discussions. The Chintan Shivir will also review progress in ongoing flagship schemes, with a focus on efficiency, sustainability and inclusive development.
