Group 7 MPs Meet South African Parliamentary Committee in Cape Town

Cape Town, South Africa: In a significant diplomatic engagement, a Group 7 MPs' delegation from India, led by NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule, held a high-level meeting with Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumapelo, Chairperson of South Africa’s Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation, along with other committee members.

The meeting took place in Cape Town, as part of the Indian delegation's official outreach to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy and enhance bilateral relations between India and South Africa. Discussions focused on mutual cooperation, regional stability, multilateral engagement, and shared values within platforms such as BRICS and the United Nations.

Both sides reportedly shared views on enhancing people-to-people contacts, trade relations, and collaboration in areas such as education, technology, and security. There was also an exchange of perspectives on pressing global issues, including counter-terrorism efforts and international peacebuilding strategies.
