Andhra Pradesh – Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan recently praised Greenko, a major energy company, for its significant investments and contributions to the state’s power and employment sectors. During a statement, Kalyan shed light on the company’s achievements, highlighting the scale of their investments and their positive impact on the local economy.
“The Greenko project in Andhra Pradesh started 15 years ago. Greenko is a major energy company that has invested Rs 1.5 lakh crore in India, of which Rs 33,000 crore has been invested in Andhra Pradesh, and they are continuing to invest more,” Kalyan said.
The Pinnapuram project, part of Greenko’s extensive investment in the state, has a value of Rs 10,000 crore, with an additional Rs 24 crore investment planned. This ambitious project, covering an expansive area of 2,800 acres, has already started electricity generation with a capacity of 2,000 MW. Of the total land area, 1,700 acres were purchased by the company.
Kalyan also emphasized the employment opportunities the project has created, stating that it has provided jobs for over 12,000 people, further contributing to the region's economic growth.
