Amravati, Maharashtra: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday announced that the state government is working to elevate the Marathi Bhasha Vidyapeeth at Riddhapur into a globally recognized institution for the promotion and preservation of the Marathi language.
Speaking at an event in Amravati district, Fadnavis said the initiative aims to strengthen the academic and cultural influence of Marathi while ensuring its global reach. “The government is striving to develop the Marathi Bhasha Vidyapeeth at Riddhapur in Amravati district into a globally renowned institution,” he stated.
He emphasized that the Vidyapeeth will serve as a hub for research, literature, and linguistic innovation, helping future generations connect with Marathi’s rich heritage. Fadnavis also highlighted the government’s broader commitment to promoting regional languages and cultural education across Maharashtra.
