PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant proudly introduced Deep Trace, a cutting-edge investigation app developed by the AI/ML Lab of Goa Police, which is set to redefine the future of law enforcement and criminal investigations. The app, which utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI), will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of police investigations across the state.

In his announcement, CM Sawant expressed his confidence in the AI/ML Lab’s potential to drive innovation in policing. “I am proud to announce the launch of Deep Trace, a revolutionary app that will transform the way investigations are carried out. This app is available to all police departments in Goa and can be accessed by officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) and above,” Sawant said.

The AI/ML Lab, established in February 2025, aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to integrate modern technology into policing, enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement agencies across India. Goa’s initiative marks a significant step towards modernizing police infrastructure with artificial intelligence playing a central role in transforming investigative methods.

The launch of Deep Trace aims to support police officers with powerful tools for data analysis, investigation tracking, and case management, improving overall crime-solving rates. Sawant expressed full faith in the AI/ML Lab's continued efforts, stating, “I am confident that our team will continue to deliver groundbreaking innovations and set a benchmark for police forces across the nation.”
