Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said that the Mhaje Ghar Yojana continues to receive overwhelming support from the people of the state, reflecting its success in meeting housing needs.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sawant wrote, “The Mhaje Ghar Yojana continues to earn the trust and support of the people of Goa. Distributed application forms for the Mhaje Ghar Yojana to beneficiaries from the Nuvem, Benaulim, and Velim constituencies, in the presence of MLA Shri Aleixo A. Sequeira and representatives of local bodies at Nagoa.”

The Chief Minister highlighted the major benefits of the scheme and expressed satisfaction at the enthusiasm shown by the beneficiaries. “Highlighted the key benefits of the scheme, and was pleased to witness the enthusiasm of the beneficiaries,” he added.

The Mhaje Ghar Yojana—a state government initiative—aims to provide affordable housing to Goan families, particularly those from economically weaker sections. By distributing forms across constituencies, the government seeks to ensure equitable access to housing benefits and strengthen grassroots participation in welfare programs.
