Madgaon: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Food and Cultural Festival organized by the state's Tourism Department in Madgaon. The three-day event is aimed at celebrating and promoting the rich culinary and cultural heritage of Goa while supporting local artisans and businesses.

Speaking at the launch, CM Sawant said, “The Tourism Department has organised a Food and Cultural Festival in Madgaon. Through this, we are promoting the food and culture of Goa. During this three-day festival, I believe locals as well as tourists will enjoy it. This festival has been launched on the theme of 'Vocal for Local.’”

The festival features an array of local delicacies, handicrafts, and cultural performances, showcasing Goa’s vibrant traditions. Stalls and exhibitions have been set up to highlight the state’s unique food, art, and music, offering visitors an immersive experience.

The theme, "Vocal for Local," aligns with the government's broader efforts to boost local businesses and artisans. CM Sawant emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting tourism while supporting Goa's economy and preserving its cultural identity.
