Patna, Bihar: Union Minister Giriraj Singh has launched a sharp counterattack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee following her jibe at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Singh, a senior BJP leader, accused Banerjee of dereliction of her constitutional duties and harboring an environment of violence in her state.

“Mamata Banerjee did not follow her ‘raj dharma’,” Singh said, referring to the ideal of righteous governance expected from elected leaders. “Under her protection, violence is taking place, and the era of killings is underway,” he added, intensifying the political war of words ahead of the ongoing election season.
