Union Minister of State Giriraj Singh has launched a sharp criticism of the ongoing Voter Adhikar Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Speaking to reporters, Singh claimed that the participation in the yatra was dominated by one community and alleged that it did not represent the broader social fabric.
“In Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav’s yatra, the majority of people were from one section, particularly from the Muslim community,” Singh said. He further targeted Congress leader and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that his past remarks about the “DNA of Bihar’s poor” amounted to an insult. “If someone abuses the DNA, will the state remain happy?” Singh questioned.
The Voter Adhikar Yatra has been positioned by the opposition parties as a campaign to highlight issues of electoral integrity and citizens’ rights. Leaders associated with the initiative have argued that it seeks to mobilise people across communities to safeguard democratic values.
