Patna: Union Minister Giriraj Singh made a fervent appeal to voters on the eve of assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, urging them to prioritize the future of the nation over divisive politics.

Addressing a gathering, Singh alleged that the opposition parties, particularly the Congress and JMM, are fostering societal division and supporting external elements like Rohingyas. "The people of Maharashtra have decided that they will never vote for those who support Rohingyas and divide society," he asserted.

Echoing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's remarks, Singh stated, “Ek rahoge, safe rahoge, batoge toh katoge” (Stay united to remain safe; if divided, you will be cut off).

Focusing on Jharkhand, he expressed concerns over alleged plans to destabilize the region's cultural and demographic identity. “They (JMM-Congress) want to turn Dumka into Bangladesh, Jharkhand into Bangladesh, and Ranchi into Karachi," Singh claimed, calling it a direct threat to the state's integrity and heritage.

Singh urged voters to consider the future of their families and communities when casting their ballots. "I pray to the people of Jharkhand and appeal to them—vote not just to elect an MLA but for the future of your children, the respect of your daughters-in-law, and the security of your homeland," he emphasized.

The minister's remarks underline the high stakes in the upcoming elections, with key issues like security, societal cohesion, and governance taking center stage in both states.
